Army defeats terrorists in Adamawa and Borno

Abuja - Scores of terrorists have been killed after counter terrorist troops carried out an attack on insurgents in Mubi town, Adamawa State.


According to a statement by the Defense, several others escaped with fatal gunshot wounds.
“In the fierce battle to root out the insurgents, scores of insurgents lost their lives while several others escaped with fatal gunshot wounds,” the statement said.
It added that two officers and three soldiers were wounded in the battle are currently receiving treatment in a Military Medical Facility
Meanwhile, more than 20 members of the Boko Haram sect were also killed in Buratai town in the troubled Borno State. The insurgents attacked a primary school in the town, Buratai Central Primary School.

A resident of the area, Mallam Idi Buratai, told journalists that over 50 gunmen stormed the town on motorcycles and Hilux Vehicles and burnt down the school.
He revealed that the terrorists succeeded in burning all mobile network masts in the town, adding that the terrorists who stormed the town at about 9:30 am local time on Sunday came through Buni-Yadi, a Yobe town that is said to be under their control.
